All Congregation Study during Lent It's not to late to get your book. "Unbinding Your Heart". Books are available in the narthex. There is a reading and prayer exercise for each day. We are asking everyone to pay $10 toward the cost of the book. We will subsidize the rest. It will be our gift to anyone who cannot afford one.
Prayer Wall During Unbinding Your Heart we have a prayer wall at the back of the church. Please write prayer concerns/requests/thanksgiving/praise on the post-it notes provided and stick them on the glass. After we fill one side we will begin onto the next. To conclude Unbinding Your Heart we will be having an All-Church Worship on Sunday April 11th at 10:30am followed by a potluck. This will be a special service and includes aspects from both worship services. There will be NO Saturday Worship or Sunday 9:00am service. Please plan on attending Sunday. A sign up sheet for the potluck will be at the Welcome Center in the next few weeks. Come and enjoy Faith's version of the Newlywed Game !!!
Easter Baskets Because of the generosity of the members of Faith and Grace, we are collecting for Easter food baskets. The canned Green Beans, 15oz. Canned Fruit and Mac n Cheese we will collect will help fill food baskets for local families! Deadline for these items will be March 21st. Moving Beyond Bless Me, Help Me, Fix Me...... On Saturday March 20th 9:30 -12:30 Pastor will lead a Prayer Retreat: Moving Beyond Bless Me, Help Me, Fix Me...... This retreat will present a worship based model for our prayers using the Lord's Prayer. When Jesus taught the disciples the Lord's Prayer, he told them... When you pray, pray like this... Too often we have simply prayed the Lord's Prayer rather than use it as a model for all of our prayers. This retreat will be participatory and experiential. Bring your Bibles, a notebook and pen. If you are looking for a way to radically change your prayer life, this is it. Call the church office to register.
Cleanup Day March 27th from 9:00am-12:00pm. Please come and help do a little extra cleaning with a Spring Cleanup day!
Easter Egg Hunt Saturday April 3rd 11:00am at Faith for toddlers- 10yr olds. Bring your cameras and your baskets if you like, plastic bags will be available.All Youth over 10 yrs old, we would appreciate your help hiding eggs beforehand.
Mark your calendars! The Annual LSSI Silent Auction and Fashion Show will be April 24th from 12:00-2:00pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield. The Silent Auction will begin at 11:00am.
