The teach team is entrusted with the task of deepening each Faith member's commitment to discipleship and enhancing their personal walk with the Lord.
The Discipleship Process at Faith
At Faith Lutheran Church we believe that discipleship is becoming more and more intimate with God as we become more and more like Jesus. In discipleship we devote ourselves to becoming what God has in mind for us to be and do. This is a life long process that begins in our baptism and ends in our death.
At Faith Lutheran Church we believe that there are five main parts to this discipleship process:
- Faith Explorations
- Small Group
- Weekly Worship
- Personal Spiritual Disciplines
- Individual Choices: Books, Magazines, Events, Groups and Classes

Faith Explorations is a series of four courses to help each individual grow in their discipleship process. An increasing commitment to Christ and his church is asked for at the conclusions of each course.
Faith Explorations 1
FE 1 is a basic introduction to Christianity, Lutheranism, Faith Lutheran Church and what it means to make commitments.
Faith Explorations 2
FE 2 helps us learn and practice the spiritual disciplines of prayer, bible reading and study, meditation, giving, and personal worship.
Faith Explorations 3
FE 3 helps each individual explore how God has shaped and called them to serve in ministry.
To help you understand the nature of your calling, in FE 3 you will discover your unique SHAPE
- Spiritual gifts
- Heart (Interests and passion)
- Abilities
- Personality
- Experiences
Faith Explorations 4
FE 4 helps us discover ways we can serve in God’s world and invite others to join us in the journey of faith. Each individual will write a personal mission statement for their lives.
